Hello, and welcome to Starfish Maths. My name's Sara, and I've had the joy of teaching Maths for over 10 years. I'm a fully qualified teacher, and I've worked in mainstream education, alternative provisions, and with individual students of a variety of ages, backgrounds and abilities.

I have an MSc in Child & Adolescent Mental Health, which has allowed me to explore wellbeing within educational contexts. Alternative educational ideas fascinate me, and I pay close attention to the wide effects that teaching and learning can have. I'm always looking for what happens below the surface, seeking to inspire confidence and enjoyment. Maths is a very artful subject, and I try to find the space for allowing courageous creativity to blossom.

I made my YouTube channel, Starfish Maths, to spread my net a little wider and give more people access to Maths teaching for free. Today I'm delighted to have over 10k wonderful subscribers to my channel!
